O documentário “5+5+” procura repensar a questão a partir da relação de pessoas com uma mesma gravura de Carlos Vergara da série “Cinco Problemas, Cinco Estampas” (de 1967). Por se tratar de uma serigrafia com tiragem inicial de duzentas cópias, diferentes pessoas têm esta mesma obra e é através dessa relação entre múltiplos personagens e um mesmo objeto artístico que o filme busca explorar os significados da arte em nossos cotidianos. Além de uma tentativa de mostrar interpretações pessoais da arte, o filme-documentário procura revelar a genealogia e o percurso de nossas relações com um objeto de arte.

The documentary “5+5+” tries to show how different people relate to the same print from the artist Carlos Vergara, originally made for the work “Cinco Problemas, Cinco Estampas” (1967). Since the work is a serigraphy with an initial limited print of 200 copies, different kinds of people have this same work and it’s through this relationship between multiple characters with the same artistic object that the film tries to explore the meaning of art in our lives. More than an attempt to show personal views of art, the documentary tries to reveal the genealogy and the relationships we develop with an art object.
