O filme investiga a lenda e os fatos por trás de Serra Pelada, local no sul do Pará que ficou conhecido como o maior garimpo a céu aberto do planeta. Na década de 1980, cerca de 100 mil pessoas se deslocaram até a região, extraindo 30 toneladas de ouro e marcando para sempre a geografia local.

The movie investigates both facts and legends behind Serra Pelada, a place south of Pará that was known as the biggest open-air mining camp on the planet. In the ’80s, about 100 thousand people went to this place in order to extract tons of gold and reshaping the local landscape forever.
